Story Construction Co.’s work on the biodiesel production facilities in Algona, Newton, and Washington, Iowa included the placement of concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade and elevated slabs; erection of precast concrete; erection of structural steel; installation of grating, stairs, metal siding and roofing; and the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings.

Story’s work was completed under a subcontract agreement with Todd & Sargent, Inc., an agricultural engineering firm.

The facilities included: Central Iowa Energy, LLC, Newton, Iowa (30 million gallons per year facility); Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC, Washington, Iowa (30 million gallons per year facility) and East Fork Biodiesel , LLC, Algona, Iowa (60 million gallons per year facility).
