This project entailed the remodel of an existing 17-room area. The area was renovated into 14 single rooms with a new serving kitchen, dining room and nurses’ area. Each resident room was refurbished with new carpeting, window treatments and painting. The individual restrooms were redone with new showers, lavatories and water closets. All areas and fixtures were brought up to current ADA standards. A new secure exterior courtyard was added which includes a walking path, sitting areas and colorful landscaping. The work also included a new fire sprinkler system for the entire floor as well as other life/safety features that brought the Memory Care Unit up to current life safety codes.
