Story Construction’s work package for this Biosafety Level 3 High Containment Large Animal Housing Facility included special structural concrete work (slabs, walls and ceilings), concrete toppings, installation of all embedded specialty miscellaneous metal, and masonry.

This Biosafety Level 3 facility includes special features such as controlled access corridors, air locks and special ventilation systems. The surfaces of all walls, floors, and ceilings were sealed to make them impervious to liquids.

Because of design delays, Story Construction was selected to erect an air supported structure over the partially completed building. This allowed for work to continue during the winter months.
