Church of the Sacred Heart Parish Hall Addition

Completed in November 2020, this addition to the Church of the Sacred Heart in Boone, IA features 7,500 sq. ft. of new space for formal events such as wedding receptions, sacrament milestone celebrations, funerals and weekly fellowship.

The addition ties into the north side of the existing church and includes a wheelchair ramp within for improved accessibility. Stained glass windows from the removed portion of the existing church were reused in the connecting corridor to the addition. The addition also includes a kitchen, men’s and women’s restrooms, an office, small library and meeting room.

Story and crews completed this addition to the Church of the Sacred Heart over the course of seven months during the COVID-19 pandemic.
