In 2017, Story Construction was awarded the contract to construct a new wastewater treatment plant for the City of Greenfield after the city determined it would be more cost-effective to build a new plant than to bring the existing plant up to compliance with DNR effluent requirements.
The project scope included the construction of a new operations and pretreatment building, the installation of an Aero-Mod activated sludge digestion system, and the demolition of the existing plant.
Story Construction crews self-performed critical work, including yard piping, concrete, and process piping and equipment installation, ensuring high-quality execution throughout the project.
