Huxley Wastewater Treatment Facility
36.7 acres
Designer: Snyder & Associates
In 2010, Story Construction was selected to build a new 3.5-mg/day wastewater treatment facility for the City of Huxley. Work included constructing several buildings on a 36.7-acre site, including a 4,080-square-foot combination office/lab/maintenance garage and a 3,360-square-foot storage building. The plant’s activated sludge process structures include a headworks building, flow-splitter box structure, two large oxidation ditches, two 60-foot-diameter clarifiers, a return-activated and waste-activated sludge pump, a blower building, two aerobic digesters, two biosolids storage areas and a UV disinfection channel.
