Story Construction served as the general contractor to build two new assisted living facilities in Vinton and Webster City, Iowa. Both facilities feature structures consisting of conventional trenched concrete footings and slab-on-grade construction with wood stud framing and drywall, manufactured wood stud roof trusses and aluminum entrances and exterior windows. Exterior finishes include vinyl siding and asphalt shingles.

Windsor Manor – Webster City
In 2008, Story built this community that features 36 one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments and a 7,370-square-foot office and activities area featuring a full kitchen and dining room, four offices, four multi-purpose activity rooms and a salon. Each apartment in the 24,600-square-foot residential area includes its own bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette, and some units were configured with options to house individuals with memory care issues.

Windsor Manor – Vinton
In 2007, Story built a 24,600-square-foot assisted living facility consisting of four wings with 8-10 assisted living units in each wing. The wings were designed to function as autonomous neighborhoods with apartment-style dwellings, and the community features common areas including an activity center, sun room, dining hall and lounge areas.
