Iowa Heart Center Medical Clinics

Story Construction was the design-builder for Iowa Heart Center’s medical clinics in Ames and Des Moines, Iowa. The Ames facility is 7,200 square feet, while the Des Moines facility is 13,000 square feet.

These cardiovascular centers contain exam rooms, treadmill rooms, stress echo rooms, nuclear camera spaces and ancillary support spaces. The structures feature brick walls, metal roofing and clerestory windows with a glass curtain wall at the main entry lobby. A canopy shelters the front entry with exposed wood trusses inside and out.
